When I was 14 I wrote a sketch that involved the radio news being broadcast from increasingly unhelpful situations that meant you couldn't hear a word of what was said—the sports correspondent reporting on the snooker in front of an enormous ventilation unit at the Sheffield Crucible theatre, the political editor reporting from in front of a blast furnace, etc—which ended with some punchline about tomorrow's edition coming live from runway 3 at Heathrow Airport. Who'd have thought, etc.
